Assignment 2(2nd edition):Compare and contrast living at home and in the dormitory

In all the universities, there have two parts in students about the place they leave: living at home and living in the dormitory. Both of two kinds of students have the feeling about the lifestyle and feel that living at home or in the dormitory is better.

What's the difference between them? First, compare to the lifestyle, living in the dormitory can have more free time to let students do what they want every time. Maybe we can go shopping after the last class, go to KTV with friends in the weekend. Everything can decide by us! For living at home, it can not have more free time because of parents. Parents usually worried about their children and limit there free time. Maybe parents want you to study in every evening or the weekend. However, the lifestyle living at home is more normal than living in the dormitory. If someone living in the dormitory, he or she may spend the midnight to play computer games or watch the movies and harm his or her health. Second, compare to the cost, living in the dormitory must have to pay more money in the lives, just like the dorm rate, water rate, meal cost…and so on. For some people which is poor, it is a burden. The students living at home have no problem about these costs. Parents prepare the lunch and dinner, all the cost about lives, and a room for us. Therefore, we don't have to worry about that if we living at home. Third, compare to the relationship, living in the dormitory can have more time to chat and talk about the homework with classmates. Therefore, the students living in the dormitory have better relationship with classmates than living at home.

According to the difference between the dormitory and home, I think there both have the different advantages to attract people to choose. If you want to be independent, live in the dormitory is a good choice; if you want a good relationship with family, just live at home. It's fixed at the discretion of yourself.
